Product Review: PowerPlus Bear Camping Lantern

I am usually quite a fan of PowerPlus products but their latest offering the PowerPlus Bear Camping Lantern doesn't quite live up to my expectations. The build quality is good and it has many worthy features from the solar, 12V DC, 240V AC, and hand cranked dynamo charging to the integrated hanging hook in the handle but I felt it was let down by the light output. It uses 24 LEDs to produce four hours of warm white all round light. The light is rather pleasant and quite similar to the comforting glow produced by oil lamps. So if you are looking for a wide aspect all round camping light it's fine but if you want to see what you are doing, you will need a Power-Plus Firefly Dynamo Light as well.
