We find a rare opportunity to acquire a beautiful 6.5 acre permaculture farm in Scotland, home to The Mondo Loco Permaculture Project, a fledgling social enterprise

The Mondo Loco Permaculture Project is a fledgling social enterprise that aims to provide an community focused education space for subjects such as sustainable development, permaculture, the environment, food growing and community engagement in Midlothian, Scotland.

The project is currently being run on a 6.5 acre farm with growing beds, two polytunnels, an orchard, a natural spring, a pond, farm buildings and stables. The beautiful site, close to Edinburgh, looks out onto Roslin Glen and is the perfect backdrop to develop a project which brings people closer to their natural world and inspire people to think about how we source our food and how we live our lives.

The site boasts a large six bedroom farm house with potential for another four bedrooms or possible conversion into four separate apartments. Plus it has a one bedroom cottage adjacent. At present, the main house lies empty and would be ideal for those seeking to live an intentional community or housing co-operative.

The good news is that the whole farm is currently on the market!! As tenants on the land, the Mondo Loco Permaculture Project is looking for the right type of buyer to take over the farm and bring new and fresh ideas to a project that has received much support from the local council and local businesses.

If you think you might be interested in buying this beautiful green space before property developers get their hands on it, please get in touch with Laura who can give you photos, more details or can arrange a visit: laurabonaura.wix.com/mondolocofarm
