Want to work on a permaculture farm in Australia? Here's an intern opportunity at one of Australia's oldest ecovillages.
Ethos Farm in the heart of Crystal Waters Permaculture Village, QLD Australia, are looking for six interns to start on March 23rd 2015 for three months.
The internship will include a permaculture design course with Morag Gamble and Evan Raymond, plus over the three months trainees will learn about biodynamic farming methods, receive natural building experience, visit great sites, enjoy wonderful food, be immersed in ecovillage life and so much more.
The internship is run by the Ethos Foundation, a not-for-profit holistic learning organisation that promotes education in sustainability and community and planetary wellbeing. There is a fee but this is a structured training and learning opportunity.
Crystal Waters is the first ecovillage in the world designed using the principles of permaculture design and received the United Nations World Habitat Award for demonstrating sustainable and low impact ways of living.
The village is home to a wide mix of nationalities and ages, with around 220 people sharing the community land of forests, lakes, agriculture, roads, eco-enterprises, sourdough organic bakery, camping sites and cafe facilities.
