Australian permaculture band, Formidable Vegetable Sound System, are back at Glastonbury for 2017, with a 8 sets of ukulele, electronic beats, organic gardening & climate change. They're also touring Europe with their latest funky album, 'Grow Do It'.

Embarking on a mission to mitigate climate change by changing people's thinking through dance music and lyrics about organic gardening, Australia's Formidable Vegetable Sound System have been confirmed for the lineup of this year's legendary Glastonbury Festival - alongside Radiohead, Ed Sheeran and Foo Fighters - for not just one, but 8 shows!

Quite possibly the only act in the world to promote the significance of permaculture, plants and peak oil with a ukulele, horns, violin and electronic beats, the band are off on their Fourth world tour which is taking them through the USA, UK, Malta and Iceland.

"So infectious that the most ardent climate sceptic would have trouble staying still"- Sydney Morning Herald

"Singing about the important issues of our times" - United Nations

Dark green, bio-dynamic and tenaciously fun, Formidable Vegetable Sound System has toured to over fourteen countries over the past five years bringing principles of permaculture (an Australian-developed sustainable design science tipped as one of the best solutions for climate change mitigation & fossil-fuel energy descent by the likes of David Suzuki) in lyrical form to crowds around the globe.

With their new album 'Grow Do It' featuring such talent as Michael Barker (John Butler Trio/Crowded House), Alex Burkoy (Tinpan Orange/The Cat Empire), Mal Webb and Kylie Morrigan (Shirley Bassey/Stevie Wonder/Led Zeppelin), Formidable Vegetable Sound System brings a triumphant new experiment in eco-musical activism to the table with world-class production and a dynamic live show to boot.

Having served up sonic banquets at festivals and shows around the globe (including for the United Nations in Rome), Formidable Vegetable Sound System are no strangers to silver-service dance-party catering. With ukulele frontman Charlie Mgee and his radish-beets accompanied by band members, Mal Webb & Kylie Morrigan shredding on the violin and horns, their upcoming 'Grow Do It' tour will prove to be no exception.
