Turning a School Bus into a Home

The Thompsons
Wednesday, 10th February 2016

Mira and Jeremy Thompson, along with two-year-old Carys, have created a beautiful, tiny home in an old school bus.

Set beside a lake near Washington, the converted bus uses various space saving techniques to give the family of three a kitchen, toilet, shower, bedroom and living area, with plenty of storage space.

Into the bed, Jeremy has built long draws that can be pulled completely out for ease of filling them, as well as deep storage spaces for seasonal items. He has built several cabinets, some open so that the more asthetic kitchen ware can be on show, while the more average items can be tucked away.
